Nearly seven years into its production cycle, the Indian Motorcycle's Scout range has been expanded upon once again with the imminent introduction of the new 2022 Indian Scout Rogue.
Slotting into the Scout family as the most premium offering at $23,995, the Scout Rogue is immediately set apart from the crowd is the addition of a quarter fairing and 19-inch wheel to the front of the motorcycle and a few other additions to give the bike an aggressive new look.
In addition to the new fairing and slim front wheel, Indian has bestowed the Scout Rogue with a set of fashionable mini-ape handlebars and a solo seat while in Indian Dark Horse fashion everything has been blacked out for that aggressive look.
Even the paint options are all dark and brooding, with the Scout Rogue available in three hues - Sagebrush Smoke, Black Smoke Midnight and Stealth Gray.
Performance remains supplied by the tried-and-true 1133cc V-twin with a claimed peak performance of 70kW (93.8hp) at 8000 RPM and 97Nm at 5600 RPM.
If the look of the new Scout Rogue is appealing but you don’t want to trade in your existing Scout, good news! Indian is offering both the sports seat and fairing from the Scout Rogue as official accessories for Scout and Scout Bobber models, offering even more customisation options for the well-established models.
While the Scout Rogue looks the business, it is a little disappointing to see Indian hasn't made any further upgrades to the Scout Platform other than the aesthetics and the move to that narrow 19-inch cast alloy wheel.
Surely with the Scout now in its seventh year of production, Indian Motorcycle is looking at what is next for the iconic model now that it truly has some hot competition in the form of Harley-Davidson's new Sportster S.
Don't get me wrong, Indian knocked it out of the park when they first debuted the Scout back in 2015, but times have changed and the bike is falling behind in terms of performance and available tech.
We'll have to wait and see what comes as a follow up to the killer looking Scout Rogue...
